Points earned can be redeemed for travel purchases via Chase Travel, equating to at least $1,250, or potentially $2,050 when using the Chase Ultimate Rewards program's transfer partners.

The annual fee is further offset by a $50 hotel statement credit. The credit is applied each year for hotel bookings made through Chase Travel. Users should note that booking via the portal may not yield hotel points or elite benefits, but the credit typically posts within four days.

For earning points, the card offers various rates: 5 points per dollar on travel booked through Chase Travel, 3 points on dining, streaming services, and online grocery stores (with some exclusions), 2 points on travel not booked via Chase, and 1 point on all other purchases. Additionally, cardholders earn a 10% points bonus on all purchases made annually.

The redemption of points through the card is also highlighted. Points can be transferred to 11 airline and three hotel programs, including British Airways Executive Club and World of Hyatt. Alternatively, booking directly through Chase Travel awards 1.25 cents per point, enabling savings and earning of additional airline miles.

The card also offers benefits beyond travel points. Purchase protection, travel insurance, and other perks may offer substantial value when needed, especially in cases such as baggage delays.
