Delta Air Lines plans to expand its operations in Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central America with the announcement of 10 new routes and two additional island destinations. Starting in December, the airline will offer nonstop flights from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) to St. Vincent and the Grenadines' Argyle International Airport (SVD) and Maurice Bishop International Airport (GND) in Grenada. These destinations were last served by Delta in 2020.

The airline also announced eight other routes to vacation spots in Puerto Rico, Mexico, and the Caribbean. New routes will include service from Nashville, Indianapolis, and Kansas City to Cancun, as well as new service to Los Cabos and San Juan. Delta is also reintroducing service from Boston to St. Thomas and Detroit to Nassau and the Cayman Islands.

According to Paul Baldoni, Delta's senior vice president of network planning, "With two brand-new destinations in the Eastern Caribbean, Delta is expanding its offering in the region, with even more seats to Latin America and the Caribbean this winter." The airline will operate these new routes from December 20 through April 12, 2026, utilizing Boeing 737-800s for the Caribbean islands connection.

Delta is also increasing its daily flight offerings to several destinations in Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean. Additional flights will connect Atlanta to Punta Cana, St. Thomas, Guatemala City, San Salvador, Panama City, Belize City, and Guadalajara. More flights will also be offered from Boston, Los Angeles, and New York City to Cancun, and from Los Angeles and Salt Lake City to Puerto Vallarta.

Airlines had previously witnessed declining profits on Caribbean and Latin American routes due to intense competition but are now ramping up services to these regions. American Airlines recently announced its own new services to Punta Cana from several U.S. cities.
