ITA Airways has announced a series of changes for the 2025 summer season, including terminal adjustments in Munich and Frankfurt, new lounge access, and the launch of its Milan Linate–Munich route. The announcement was made on X on March 30.

According to AeroTime, ITA Airways has moved its check-in operations at Munich and Frankfurt airports to terminals primarily used by Lufthansa Group airlines. At Munich Airport, the airline relocated from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2, while at Frankfurt Airport, it moved from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1. This strategic shift aims to streamline passenger transfers and improve connectivity within the Lufthansa network.

As reported by ITA Airways, the airline launched a new direct flight between Milan Linate and Munich, starting on March 30, 2025. The service operates with two daily flights from Monday to Friday, departing Milan at 07:30 and 17:30, and Munich at 09:35 and 19:35. On Saturdays, only the morning flight is available, while on Sundays, only the afternoon flight operates.

According to Lufthansa, starting March 30, 2025, the lounge networks of the Lufthansa Group and ITA Airways will gradually be harmonized. This integration grants premium customers and loyalty-program members reciprocal access to a wider lounge network, including 23 lounges belonging to ITA Airways and the Lufthansa Group, 10 partner lounges, and more than 100 third-party lounges. During the harmonization phase, some special access rules may apply.

As detailed by Avion Tourism, ITA Airways' 2025 summer schedule includes flights to 59 destinations: 16 domestic, 27 international, and 16 intercontinental routes. Additionally, the airline will introduce 12 seasonal destinations during the peak summer period featuring popular Mediterranean spots such as Greece, Spain, and the Italian islands. These additions aim to enhance ITA Airways' domestic and international network by providing passengers with a broader range of travel options.
