The American Express Business Platinum Card is known for its premium benefits, including statement credits with a high annual fee of $695. These statement credits, applicable with popular brands such as Dell and Adobe, are slated for changes starting July 1, following their initial expiration on June 30.

Currently, cardholders benefit from a $400 annual statement credit on U.S. Dell purchases and a $150 annual credit on select Adobe purchases. Card members need enrollment to access these benefits.

Beginning in July, the Dell credit will change. Enrolled cardholders will receive up to $150 in credits on purchases made directly at Dell, plus an additional $1,000 credit after spending $5,000 or more at Dell within the latter half of the year. Meanwhile, the Adobe credit will increase to $250 for those spending $600 or more on Adobe products, effective for purchases between July 1 and December 31.

Users can continue using the current credits until the end of June, before the new terms become effective.

"At first glance, these changes seem negative since the Dell statement credit amount has been reduced and both require more spending to fully maximize the statement credit value," remarks report analysis. Still, Adobe credit changes may benefit businesses spending over $600 annually since the new policy promises, "this effectively increases your annual statement credits by $100."

For Dell, the effective credit remains contingent on higher spending, potentially offering up to $1,150 after meeting a $5,000 threshold. However, high spending requirements could be a hindrance for some businesses.

The current credits on the Amex Business Platinum Card remain usable until the specified changes take place, and cardholders are advised to optimize these before the effective date of July 1.
