Embraer 505 Phenom 300 | Wikipedia

The Embraer EMB-505 Phenom 300, developed and manufactured by Brazilian company Embraer, holds the distinction of being the most delivered private jet in the world today. Capable of transporting up to 11 passengers, the jet is favored for its certification for single-pilot operations. Its development commenced in the early 2000s due to rising demand for an aircraft slightly larger than the Phenom 100.

Despite the original intent to design the Phenom 300 as a derivative of the Phenom 100, a clean sheet design was eventually adopted by Embraer. This change allowed the aircraft to incorporate more capable engines, a spoiler, and winglets, significantly reducing fuel consumption. The modified design also featured an extended cabin to accommodate additional passengers.

The Phenom 300 first took to the skies on April 29, 2008, and obtained its type certification by December 3, 2009. After this milestone, the jet started serving operators worldwide, and by 2013, it had become the most delivered business jet globally. In March 2019, Embraer delivered the 500th unit, achieving a market share of over 50% in the light jet market. Embraer later announced an upgraded version, the Phenom 300E, on January 31, 2020. According to FlightGlobal, the first production model for the Phenom 300 was delivered to Executive Flight Services at the company's headquarters in Brazil during a special ceremony.

Embraer Phenom 300E improvements were communicated by the company, including increased maximum operating speeds from Mach 0.78 to Mach 0.80 and extending the jet's range to over 2,300 miles. The aircraft received a triple certification from Brazilian, American, and European aerospace regulators in March 2020 as reported by Aviation International News Online.

The Phenom 300 is powered by two Pratt & Whitney PW535E turbofan engines and constructed with at least 18% composite materials. The design allows operation at high altitudes and in diverse environmental conditions. As one of the longest-range single-pilot aircraft, it features a roomy cabin with extensive soundproofing, a private lavatory, and flexibility for passenger seating arrangements.

The aircraft supports single-pilot operations, enhancing operational flexibility for operators. Its comprehensive features, combined with ease of operation and maintenance, contribute to its popularity among private jet operators.
