フェデックスは、アジア太平洋地域における経営体制の強化を発表した。新たにアジア太平洋地域セールス＆ソリューション担当上級副社長にマーカス・バルツァライト氏、同地域人事部門副社長にルマナ・ラーマン氏、同地域プランニング＆エンジニアリング担当副社長にシャンカー・ヴェンカテスワラン氏が就任する。
フェデックスの発表によると、事業と人材戦略の推進を目的とし、この人事を通じてアジア太平洋地域での成長をさらに加速させるという。
バルツァライト氏は、物流業界で25年以上の経験を持ち、アジア太平洋地域で約2,000人の営業チームを率いる。彼は「収益性の高い成長と市場シェアの拡大を目指し、フェデックスならではのソリューションの提供に注力する」と述べた。
人材を企業成長の原動力と位置付けるフェデックスで、ラーマン氏はアジア太平洋、中東、アフリカ地域での24年にわたる人事の経験を生かし、人材戦略を発展させる。彼女は「高い成果を生み出す企業文化の醸成を図る」としている。
ヴェンカテスワラン氏は、ビジネス、テクノロジー、オペレーションの各分野で20年以上の経験を有し、地上ネットワークの設計、デジタル化、自動化を推進するという。彼の目標は「効率性と柔軟性を高め、お客様のニーズに応えること」である。
カワール・プリット氏、フェデックスのアジア太平洋地域社長は、「今後を見据えたチーム体制の構築は最優先事項」とし、今回の人事は「お客様のニーズの先取り、成長を促進し、この急速に進化する地域で継続的なインパクトをもたらすために必要なアジリティとイノベーションをチームに与える」と述べた。
