Emirates has announced a new donation matching initiative intended to boost support for its Emirates Airline Foundation. The airline will match every donation made up to US $10,000, with the aim of strengthening assistance for 13 grassroots NGOs focused on aiding children in nine countries.

"For every dollar, dirham or any currency donated to the Emirates Airline Foundation, Emirates will fully match every contribution made up to US $10,000, helping double the impact of every customer as part of its long-standing commitment to build a better future for the most disadvantaged and vulnerable children the Foundation supports," the organization says.

Emirates Airline President and Foundation Chairman Sir Tim Clark stated, "As global challenges intensify for the world’s most vulnerable people, safeguarding the fundamental needs of children and their access to food, health, housing, and education has never been more vital."

The announcement comes as part of the UAE's Year of Community in 2025, emphasizing shared responsibility and community impact. The Emirates Airline Foundation supports various projects, providing essential services like safe housing, nutrition, healthcare, and educational opportunities.

In India, the Foundation supports over 37 children living with HIV/AIDS at Emirates-CHES Home and funds the IIMPACT Girls Education Project, which educates 5,000 young girls. In Sri Lanka, Prithipura Communities helps nearly 250 individuals with disabilities. St. Marcellin's Children's Village in Zimbabwe cares for over 56 children, many with disabilities or HIV.

Furthermore, the Foundation assists schools and centers in South Africa, Kenya, the Philippines, Brazil, and the UAE. The organization emphasizes that almost all donations go directly to projects, minimizing administrative costs through volunteer support from employees.

Donations can be made onboard every Emirates flight, online, or via bank transfer. Further details are available on the Emirates Airline Foundation website. The Foundation is regulated by the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai and is fully licensed by the Government of Dubai.
