Manchester Airport is one of the UK's primary air transportation hubs, handling over 30 million passengers annually. The airport features three passenger terminals and two runways, connecting travelers to more than 190 global destinations through leading airlines such as Emirates, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines, and Turkish Airlines.

Terminal 1, the oldest terminal, serves various short and long-haul routes. Despite being scheduled to close soon, it remains operational with airlines like Aer Lingus, Emirates, and Etihad Airways. Terminal 2 is undergoing expansion to extend its capacity significantly as part of a £1.3 billion rejuvenation project. It hosts both international and regional carriers including Air Canada and Virgin Atlantic. Terminal 3 caters mainly to domestic and short-haul European flights, prominently featuring British Airways and Ryanair.

Connecting between terminals at Manchester Airport is facilitated by the Skylink system of moving walkways, allowing passengers to transfer within 5 to 15 minutes without the need for a shuttle bus. Additionally, the airport is well-connected to public transportation, offering train, tram, and bus services to central Manchester from a central hub known as The Station.

Passengers can benefit from online check-in and airline apps to streamline their airport experience. It is advised to arrive in accordance with standard pre-flight guidelines, particularly during peak travel times. Despite its compact design, travelers are encouraged to find and stay near their boarding gate to avoid missing important announcements.
