Cathay Pacific launched its new route from Hong Kong to Dallas/Fort Worth on April 24. This route, operating four times per week, is served by the Airbus A350-1000 but will switch to the A350-900 during the winter season. The new route is intended to support American Airlines' operations at one of its busiest hubs. Although this is Cathay Pacific's longest route, it does not rank among the world's ten longest. Cathay Pacific aims to increase its daily passenger flights to North America, including New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.

Air Sierra Leone introduced a new route from London Gatwick to Freetown on April 26, marking the country's first airline in over two decades to connect with the UK. The flight will officially start with regular service on June 16, using Ascend Airways as an operational partner to comply with a UK operational permit condition due to a ban on Air Sierra Leone.

On April 27, Lufthansa resumed its service between Frankfurt and Bydgoszcz after a five-year hiatus. The route operates five times per week during the summer season, utilizing the CRJ900. The flights enable connections to key European cities such as Dublin, Brussels, and Paris.

Aegean Airlines began its first route connecting Santorini and Istanbul on April 22. This twice-weekly service represents Santorini's initial connection to Turkey and follows the recent Heraklion-Istanbul route launch. By July, Aegean plans to increase its weekly flights to Istanbul to a record 38.

Sichuan Airlines inaugurated flights between Chengdu Tianfu and Madrid on April 27, marking the second time Chengdu has been connected to Madrid. The service operates four times a week, expanding Sichuan Airlines' European destinations to include five cities.

Frontier Airlines has launched its latest route from Dallas/Fort Worth to New York JFK on April 22. This marks the first time Frontier has serviced this route, with the Dallas-JFK route now competing directly with American Airlines and Delta.

Royal Jordanian celebrated its 50th anniversary of operating flights to Amsterdam. The airline commenced services to Amsterdam in 1975, initially using the Boeing 707. The anniversary is highlighted by the significance of Amsterdam being one of Royal Jordanian's key destinations over the years.
