Federal Express Corporation (FedEx) has been honored with the Distinction Award at this year’s Corporate and Societal Action: Recognition for Excellence in Singapore (CARES) ceremony. The ceremony, hosted by the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) Singapore, marks the fifth consecutive year FedEx has received recognition for its dedication to responsible business practices and contributions to the local community.

The AmCham CARES program, launched in 2016, acknowledges companies that understand the balance between business success and positive social impact. It provides a platform for businesses to improve corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts, share practices, and inspire improvement within the community. Companies are assessed on four pillars: Communications, Measurement, Strategy, and Sustainability, which gauge the impact and transparency of their CSR initiatives.

Eric Tan, Managing Director of FedEx Singapore, expressed, “Being recognised for the fifth year in a row is a powerful testament to the passion and dedication of our team members, who continue to go above and beyond to support the communities we serve.” He further noted the company's commitment to connecting people and possibilities and its dedication to building a more inclusive and sustainable future for Singapore.

FedEx Singapore, through its FedEx Cares global community engagement program, has stayed focused on initiatives like Delivering for Good, Global Entrepreneurship, and Sustainable Logistics. The past year has seen FedEx team members mentor students and young entrepreneurs in international trade, provide gifts and book donations to children with chronic illnesses, and participate in environmental activities such as tree planting and waterway clean-ups to enhance urban biodiversity and climate resilience.

These efforts are part of FedEx's broader objective to integrate sustainability into its operations, aiming to deliver long-term value to customers, stakeholders, and the broader Singapore community.
