Emirates Airline has announced a commitment to hire 1,500 new aviators, coinciding with World Pilots’ Day. This initiative is part of the airline's ongoing expansion driven by its Accelerated Command programme, which allows First Officers to swiftly progress to the role of Captain. Currently, over 80 pilots are on course to achieve this command upgrade.

Emirates is offering potential recruits a range of benefits. The airline operates a modern fleet of 261 wide-body aircraft including Airbus A380s, Boeing 777s, and the newly introduced A350, flying to over 148 destinations globally. Emirates boasts that their pilots work in one of the most advanced environments, enjoying views from 40,000 feet as they navigate diverse terrains and dynamic cityscapes worldwide.

Pilots with Emirates receive competitive tax-free salaries with additional profit-sharing benefits. They can avail themselves of a provident fund, retirement benefits, and comprehensive life, medical, and dental coverage. Additional perks include luxury transportation to work, accommodation in gated communities, and generous leave policies. The company also offers ticket benefits for pilots and their families, and an advanced rostering system allowing for flexible flight bidding.

Living in Dubai, pilots become part of a diverse expatriate community, with over 112 nationalities represented among colleagues. Dubai offers extensive infrastructure, a vibrant social scene, and family-friendly living environments. The Emirates Platinum Card and Premium Club Membership provide pilots with exclusive discounts and access to premium leisure facilities and retailers globally.

Emirates continues its global recruitment efforts, seeking experienced pilots across four specific programmes: Direct Entry Captains, Accelerated Command, First Officers Type Rated, and First Officers Non-Type Rated. Since 2022, the airline has added nearly 2,000 pilots, and aims to hire over 550 more this year. Recruitment sessions have been successful, with future roadshows planned for Norway, Finland, and Sweden.
