The Chase Sapphire Preferred Card’s 100,000-point bonus offer, often referred to as the "offer of the year," is now in its “ending soon” phase. Though it launched in early April, its conclusion may arrive sooner than expected.

The limited-time offer requires cardholders to spend $5,000 on purchases within the first three months to earn 100,000 bonus Ultimate Rewards points. This promotional bonus is 40,000 points more than the usual 60,000-point offer, only matched once before, in 2021.

"The 100,000-point version was rare," noted earlier offers with the highest bonus at 75,000 points from May to June 2024. Previously, an offer ran from October to November 2024 for 60,000 points, plus a $300 credit for use on the Chase Travel site.

The allure of 100,000 Chase points lies in their valuation, estimated to be worth over $2,000 in April 2025, while the card’s annual fee remains at $95. These points can be used via the Chase Travel℠ portal as $1,250 in travel value or transferred 1:1 to various rewards programs like United MileagePlus and World of Hyatt.

The exact timeframe for the offer's end is uncertain, but historically, the transition from “ending soon” to closure spans one to two weeks. Should this pattern continue, the 100,000-point offer may conclude by mid-May.

"Of course, TPG will keep you in the loop," promises continued updates on the offer’s timeline.

For potential applicants and current cardholders, understanding eligibility, maximizing point value, and examining the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card’s merits as a travel and dining card are crucial before the offer sunsets.
