According to an official Facebook post by Alaska Airlines, the promotion emphasizes Seoul's appeal as a dynamic travel destination.

The $999 round-trip fare is part of a limited-time offer available for booking until May 13, 2025, at 11:59 PM PT through HawaiianAirlines.com. This fare applies to nonstop flights from Seattle to Seoul, with travel dates starting from September 12, 2025. The airline's news release states that this promotion coincides with the launch of their new nonstop service to Seoul.
