Federal Express Corporation (FedEx), recognized as the largest express transportation company globally, is facilitating Mumbai's small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in scaling their innovative ideas to reach international markets. This initiative is part of the SME Connect series, which offers tailored logistics, digital tools, and strategic insights to emerging business hubs.
"As SMEs accelerate their ambitions, we’re matching that pace with smarter solutions, stronger infrastructure, and deeper engagement," stated Nitin Navneet Tatiwala, vice president of marketing, customer experience, and air network for the Middle East, Indian Subcontinent, and Africa at FedEx. "Through our SME Connect platform, we’re delivering more than packages—we’re enabling aspirations for SMEs to compete on the global stage."
Since its launch in 2019, SME Connect has transitioned from a knowledge-sharing forum into an advocacy platform. In FY25, FedEx introduced new formats—SAMPARK, ANUBHAV, and MANTRA—to engage businesses more personally according to their lifecycle and sectoral challenges. These efforts align with national programs like Invest India and initiatives such as One District One Product (ODOP) and District Export Hub (DEH), promoting regional export hubs in cities like Mumbai. To date, SME Connect has engaged over 5,000 SME customers through 58 editions across 55 cities in India.
