Delta Air Lines has announced the appointment of Brad Sheehan as the new Senior Vice President of Corporate Safety, Security and Compliance. Sheehan, who brings over 25 years of industry experience, will assume his new role on June 2. He succeeds David Garrison, who is retiring after a distinguished 34-year career with Delta.
Sheehan currently holds the position of Vice President of Flight Operations and serves as an A320 captain. His extensive experience includes overseeing training, technology, and flight standards. He has also led Delta's Flight Safety team and collaborated with industry partners and the FAA to improve national airspace.
Before joining Delta, Sheehan held senior leadership roles in operations and safety at other airlines. His expertise has earned him appointments to five FAA-required positions, including Director of Operations and Director of Safety at other airlines. In his upcoming role, he will serve as the FAA-designated Director of Safety, advising Delta leadership on safety matters.
