A Delta Air Lines Airbus A320 flight from Minneapolis to Kalispell was diverted to Spokane on May 17 due to a suspected issue with the aircraft's flaps. The plane landed safely, and after maintenance on the ground for nearly four hours, it continued its journey to Kalispell. The aircraft has since resumed normal operations.

The incident occurred on Flight DL2575, which departed from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport at 11:33 and was scheduled to arrive at Kalispell Glacier Park at 13:18. However, it began circling over Kalispell before diverting to Spokane International Airport, where it landed at approximately 13:10 local time. There were 126 passengers onboard during the incident.

A Delta spokesperson stated, "Delta flight 2575 from Minneapolis (MSP) to Kalispell (FCA) on May 17 diverted to Spokane (GEG) after crew received indication of a possible mechanical issue. Maintenance was completed in Spokane, and the aircraft continued safely to its final destination."

The aircraft involved was a 23-year-old Airbus A320-200 with registration N373NW. It has been in service since November 2001 and is configured with 157 seats across different classes. As of February 2025, it had accumulated over 65,000 flight hours.

This event follows another recent incident involving a Delta aircraft experiencing a flaps issue. On April 30, a Boeing 757 returned to its origin airport after encountering similar problems shortly after takeoff.

Flight DL2575 is currently the only regular passenger service between Minneapolis and Kalispell, operating daily with an A320 and providing up to 1,099 seats weekly.
