At the Farnborough Airshow in July 2024, Airbus Defence & Space announced the launch of its A330 MRTT+ program. This is an update to the existing A330 MRTT, which is based on the A330-200 model. It may also serve as a strategy for Airbus to address its declining sales of the A330-800.
