Etihad Airways has announced the launch of a new four-times-weekly service between Abu Dhabi and Prague. The announcement was made on the social media platform X.

According to Etihad Airways, the new route operates four times per week using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft configured with 28 Business Studios and 262 Economy Smart seats. This addition marks the airline’s first entry into the Czech market and aims to strengthen cultural and tourism ties between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Central Europe. The flight schedule is designed to provide convenient connections for travelers transiting through Abu Dhabi.

As reported by Arabian Business, the inaugural flight to Prague landed on June 2, 2025, and was greeted with a traditional water cannon salute at Václav Havel Airport. The service is expected to cater to both business and leisure travelers, enhancing access to a key destination within the Schengen zone. Czech tourism authorities welcomed the new connection as part of their broader strategy to expand visitor markets from the Gulf.
