Federal Express Corporation, a major player in express transportation, has announced that its hubs at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport in China and Kansai International Airport in Japan have received the CEIV Pharma Corporate Certification. This certification is from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and ensures high standards for handling and transporting sensitive healthcare products like pharmaceuticals and vaccines.

Kawal Preet, President of Asia Pacific at FedEx, stated, “Healthcare innovation demands smarter, faster, and more resilient supply chains.” She emphasized the importance of secure logistics as Asia Pacific becomes a global hub for clinical trials and biopharma manufacturing. Preet added that FedEx combines its global network with AI-driven logistics to support healthcare innovation across the region.

The Asia Pacific Pharmaceutical Logistics market is expected to grow significantly from USD 163 billion in 2025 to USD 225 billion by 2030. The region also accounts for about half of global clinical trials. Customers require temperature-controlled services to maintain product efficacy. FedEx offers customized solutions through its international express network and Life Science Centers located worldwide.
