Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) is introducing its first-ever signature cocktail to its onboard beverage selection. The 'SWISS Alpine Essence', a light and floral variation of the White Negroni, will be available on all SWISS long-haul flights starting in July. This new cocktail was created in collaboration with award-winning bartender Sarah Madritsch and Zurich's IGNIV by Andreas Caminada Bar.

First and Business Class passengers will have access to the exclusive 'SWISS Alpine Essence'. The drink combines dry white vermouth, elderflower syrup, crème de menthe, white crème de cacao, and citrus and herbal notes. It can be enjoyed as an aperitif or alongside a meal.

Sarah Madritsch expressed her vision for the creation: "We wanted to offer SWISS travelers a genuine taste experience that combines lightness with all the freshness of the Alps – just as can be sensed and felt outdoors in Switzerland’s natural landscape." She added, "I’m proud of the result. And it’s very special to know that our creation will soon be flying as the first-ever SWISS cocktail all over the globe."

Heike Birlenbach, SWISS Chief Commercial Officer, commented on this initiative: "With our new ‘SWISS Alpine Essence’ we’re bringing our first-ever signature cocktail aboard. It’s another key element in the various initiatives that we’re taking this year to further refine our guests’ air travel experience – all of which are hallmarked by strong Swiss credentials and a keen devotion to detail."

The 'SWISS Alpine Essence' will also become part of the 'SWISS Saveurs' inflight food and beverage range later this year, allowing Economy Class passengers on short- and medium-haul flights to enjoy this exclusive drink.
