More than 1,200 employees of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) are expected to leave their positions in the coming months. This development comes amidst ongoing reports of flight delays, aviation accidents, and technical issues.

An internal presentation dated May 7, which was obtained by The Wall Street Journal, stated: “Employees are departing the agency in mass quantities across all skill levels.” The presentation highlighted the effects of a deferred-resignation program initiated during the Trump administration.
