Washington Dulles International Airport experienced a significant week as United Airlines expanded its network of nonstop flights to leisure destinations. United Airlines, the largest carrier at the airport, launched two new seasonal connections to popular summer travel spots: Nice Côte d’Azur Airport and Venice Marco Polo Airport.
The new service to Nice began on May 23 with four-times weekly nonstop flights from Washington Dulles. Gregoire Dutoit, United’s Country Sales Manager for France, stated, “Our new nonstop flight enables even greater travel choice for our customers in Nice and the Côte d'Azur region.” This addition increases capacity between the U.S. and Nice by nearly 30%.
The airline also introduced daily nonstop services between Venice and Washington Dulles. These routes will operate on overnight schedules similar to other transatlantic flights. The addition of these services enhances connectivity between Italy and the U.S., contributing to United's robust network expansion.
