American Airlines has announced an expansion of its regional fleet through a significant order placed by its subsidiary, Envoy Air. The airline, which operates under the American Eagle brand, will acquire 33 new Embraer E175 aircraft over the next two years. This move is part of Envoy Air's strategy to strengthen its position in the feeder sector of US commercial aviation.

This milestone reflects the dedication and hard work of our more than 21,000 employees across North America, the Pacific, the Caribbean, and the Bahamas."
The newly ordered Embraer E175s are set to join Envoy Air's existing fleet of 169 Embraer E-Jets. The carrier currently operates 126 E175s and 43 E170s. By the end of this year, it is expected that their fleet will increase to 181 aircraft.
