Emirates has announced the launch of three weekly flights to Siem Reap, expanding access to Angkor Wat and other cultural attractions via Dubai and Bangkok.

Siem Reap is internationally recognized as the gateway to Angkor Wat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Southeast Asia’s most iconic cultural landmarks. In 2023, Cambodia welcomed more than 5.4 million international tourists, with Angkor Wat remaining the most visited attraction, according to the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism. Emirates' new service comes amid rising global interest in heritage travel and supports Cambodia’s ongoing efforts to boost post-pandemic tourism.

According to Emirates’ official announcement, the new service to Siem Reap operates three times a week—on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays—using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. The flight route is structured as a linked service via Bangkok, enhancing regional connectivity for passengers traveling from Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. This service supports both inbound tourism to Cambodia and outbound options for Cambodian travelers via Emirates’ global Dubai hub.

With the relaunch of this service, Emirates now offers 10 weekly flights to Cambodia—three to Siem Reap and seven to Phnom Penh—providing flexibility and increased access for both business and leisure travelers. The circular routing allows passengers to experience multiple Cambodian cities in one itinerary while also expanding bellyhold cargo capacity for regional exports. Emirates noted in its release that this dual-destination model strengthens trade links and tourism between Cambodia and more than 130 global destinations.

Emirates is the state-owned flag carrier of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and one of the world’s largest airlines by international passenger traffic. Founded in 1985, the airline operates a fleet of all wide-body aircraft, including Airbus A380s and Boeing 777s, flying to over 140 destinations across six continents. According to its corporate overview, Emirates is known for its premium in-flight services, expansive route network, and significant role in connecting global travel and trade via its Dubai hub.
