Lufthansa has announced the expansion of its baggage collection and check-in service to the greater Cologne area. This service, developed in collaboration with technology partner 'Airportr', is now accessible to passengers traveling by train from Cologne and Siegburg/Bonn to Frankfurt Airport. Additionally, travelers flying with Discover Airlines can utilize this service in both the Frankfurt and Cologne regions.

The service allows passengers to have their luggage collected from their home or hotel. The luggage is securely sealed, transported to the airport, and checked in on behalf of the traveler. Passengers receive real-time updates through a personalized tracking link and a digital baggage tag receipt. This process enables travelers to arrive at the airport without heavy luggage and proceed directly to security checkpoints, collecting their checked bags upon reaching their destination.

Lufthansa emphasizes that this premium service is designed to save time and simplify travel, particularly for those using public transportation.
