Rolls-Royce's Trent engine series marks its 30th anniversary this year. Since the early 1990s, the Trent engines have been pivotal in widebody jet propulsion, starting with the Trent 700 on the Airbus A330 in 1995. Known for efficiency and quiet operation, the series has gained a reputation for innovation and reliability.

Chris Cholerton, Group President of Rolls-Royce plc., stated: "The Trent has been built on our relentless desire to be pioneers - to make our engines increasingly efficient, and by doing so find new ways to make flight ever more sustainable."

The success of the Trent family is attributed to its robust design and three-shaft configuration that enhances efficiency and durability. With over 6,000 engines in service accumulating more than 200 million flight hours, these engines have carried nearly four billion passengers.

Rolls-Royce's partnerships with major aircraft manufacturers like Airbus and Boeing have also contributed significantly to its success. The company's TotalCare maintenance program provides airlines with proactive servicing, enhancing operational performance.

At a recent airshow at Paris-Le Bourget Airport, Rolls-Royce secured contracts with STARLUX Airlines for their A350-1000s powered by Trent XWB-97 engines. Riyadh Air placed an order for the same model alongside a Memorandum of Understanding for comprehensive services. Egyptair expanded its order for Trent XWB-84 engines as well.

Looking forward, Rolls-Royce is focusing on sustainability with plans to fully integrate Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) compatibility by 2030. Their UltraFan engine program promises a significant improvement in fuel efficiency compared to earlier models.
