The former Shangri-La Vancouver has transitioned to the World of Hyatt and is currently operating as the Hyatt Vancouver Downtown Alberni. According to a press release from Hyatt, after a "multi-million-dollar redesign enhances and elevates the hotel's guestrooms, residential-style lobby, public spaces and spa," the property will be rebranded as Park Hyatt Vancouver in 2026.

Located at 1128 W. Georgia St. in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia, this 119-room hotel is now available for booking through World of Hyatt as a Category 7 property. The World of Hyatt award chart indicates that standard room nights at the hotel range from 25,000 to 35,000 points per night. Standard suites cost between 43,000 to 53,000 points per night, while premium suites require between 50,000 to 70,000 points per night. However, no award nights are currently available.

Paid rates at the Hyatt Vancouver Downtown Alberni start around $478 per night through World of Hyatt. The hotel offers six types of rooms: one king bed city view (400 to 450 square feet), two double beds city view (400 to 450 square feet), one king bed deluxe (505 to 625 square feet), two double beds deluxe (505 to 625 square feet), one king bed deluxe with sofa bed (505 to 625 square feet), and one king bed deluxe with balcony (495 to 600 square feet).

It may also be beneficial for guests to contact the property directly regarding ongoing renovations near their stay dates.
