He stated: “Today's event celebrates our sustainability journey while educating and inspiring our people through the showcased initiatives and meaningful discussions on sustainable practices. Environmental responsibility is essential to achieving our objectives as an airline and as an industry, and it supports the UAE's Net Zero 2050 Strategy."

The exhibition featured several initiatives including transforming retired aircraft parts into aesthetic items under 'Aircrafted by Emirates,' onboard products using recycled materials presented by Service Delivery teams, plastic cleanup efforts at Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, and interactive displays by Emirates Flight Catering.

Dnata highlighted its global sustainability efforts with plant-based packaging in catering services and comprehensive recycling programs in cargo operations. Other projects included deploying a river interceptor in Sri Lanka to prevent ocean pollution.

Industry partners like Ecyclex demonstrated waste recycling processes while Falcon Aircraft Recycling showcased products made from recycled aircraft parts. Dubai Airports shared their approach to reducing airport-specific waste through innovation.

Employees engaged in interactive activities during the event to win prizes and were encouraged to contribute to a 'Bottle Wall' challenge aimed at upcycling bottles into plant pots.
