The 2025 SkyTrax World Airline Awards have been announced, highlighting top airlines worldwide and by region. Qatar Airways secured the top spot globally, with Singapore Airlines recognized for the best first class and Virgin Atlantic for premium economy. Cathay Pacific was noted for offering the best economy experience.

In North America, Air Canada emerged as the leading airline according to SkyTrax. The airline has consistently won this award multiple times over recent years. It was also acknowledged for having the best business class lounge, staff, and cleanest cabins in the region. "Air Canada's hard and soft products are both excellent," a representative stated.

Delta Air Lines, based in Atlanta, was ranked as North America's second-best airline and the top carrier in the United States. Delta holds accolades for providing the best economy, premium economy, and business class experiences in North America. "Delta is ranked as the world's 22nd best airline," while Air Canada holds 19th place.

Porter Airlines stood out as North America's third-best airline despite its all-economy configuration using Q400s and Embraer E2s. The Canadian carrier offers free high-speed WiFi across its fleet and complimentary snacks and drinks onboard.

United Airlines from Chicago is noted as North America's fourth-best airline following significant improvements in onboard services post-COVID-19 pandemic. Its strategy includes retrofitting narrowbodies with seatback screens and installing free high-speed WiFi through Starlink.

JetBlue maintains a strong presence despite challenges in differentiation due to widespread adoption of features like onboard screens and WiFi among US carriers. The company plans to introduce a traditional domestic first-class product soon but will reduce legroom in economy further.

Alaska Airlines ranks as America's fourth-best airline according to SkyTrax. Although it doesn't offer screens on planes, it provides free streaming to devices along with paid WiFi access. Alaska is recognized for excellent inflight service and reliable operations.

Overall rankings see Delta leading among US airlines followed by United, JetBlue, Alaska, and Breeze according to SkyTrax's evaluations.
