Ethiopian Airlines has announced the start of a new passenger service to Hanoi, Vietnam. This service will operate four times a week and marks the airline's first passenger gateway into Vietnam. It also represents Ethiopian Airlines' 20th destination in Asia.

An inaugural ceremony was held at the Ethiopian Skylight Hotel to celebrate this milestone. The event was attended by government officials, diplomatic representatives, and executives of the airline, including Mr. Mesfin Tasew, Group CEO of Ethiopian Airlines.

Mr. Mesfin Tasew stated, “We are truly delighted to start passenger services to Hanoi, a city of great cultural and economic significance. This new route not only supports our vision of connecting Africa to the world but also serves as a bridge for enhanced cooperation between Africa and Southeast Asia."

Ethiopian Airlines currently operates flights to 28 passenger and cargo destinations in Asia with over 190 weekly frequencies. The new Addis Ababa–Hanoi route includes a one-stop in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Hanoi offers rich architectural heritage and historical landmarks, providing Ethiopian passengers access to one of Asia’s culturally significant cities. With this launch, Ethiopian Airlines strengthens its role in intercontinental air travel.
