American Airlines adds new Latin America routes for winter season

American Airlines has announced the addition of three new routes across Latin America for the upcoming winter season. The Fort Worth-based airline will offer flights between Chicago and two Mexican destinations: Mexico City and Queretaro. Additionally, a new route will connect Philadelphia with Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.

The daily service from Chicago's O'Hare International Airport to Mexico City International Airport is set to begin on October 26. Meanwhile, select flights from Chicago to Queretaro International Airport will operate during the peak holiday season from December 18, 2025, to January 5, 2026. The daily service from Philadelphia International Airport to Las Americas International Airport in Santo Domingo will start on December 18.

American Airlines plans to expand its holiday service across Latin America between December 18, 2025, and January 5, 2026. This expansion includes additional routes from Philadelphia and Miami International Airport. In total, American intends to operate over 2.3 million round-trip seats throughout Latin America during this period.

Tickets for these new flights will be available starting July 14 through all of American's sales channels.
