FedEx está realizando a décima edição de seu Programa de Reciclagem de Uniformes no Brasil. Desde 2015, a empresa tem transformado uniformes antigos em cobertores, com o objetivo de reduzir resíduos e ajudar comunidades locais. Nos últimos dez anos, mais de 93 mil peças de roupas foram recicladas, resultando em mais de 37 mil cobertores doados.

Neste ano, FedEx reciclou mais de 13 mil uniformes para produzir 5.650 cobertores. Desses, 4.600 serão doados para pessoas e 1.050 para animais que estão para adoção em várias regiões do país.

De acordo com um estudo da consultoria S2F Partners, o Brasil descarta cerca de quatro milhões de toneladas de resíduos têxteis anualmente. Em média, cada residência descartou 44 quilos de roupas e calçados em 2024.
