Tim Clark President, Emirates Airline | Emirates Airlines

Taking place on July 19 and 20 in Portsmouth, Emirates Airline will be present at the Emirates Great Britain Sail Grand Prix offering a variety of experiences. These include VIP packages, hospitality options, exclusive tours of the Emirates Great Britain SailGP Tech base, and competitions.

Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, stated: “Emirates has been a staunch supporter of sailing since 2004, and we are delighted to help bring the iconic racing event back to the UK through our partnership with SailGP. Together, we’ll take the sport to new levels and bring fans closer to the action. We look forward to seeing the incredible talent, ground-breaking technology, and rivalry among the teams as they take to the tumultuous Solent waters both this year and beyond.”

Fans can anticipate an engaging two-day tournament featuring ‘sail better’ moments with Emirates. This includes interactive promotional booths with opportunities to win exclusive branded seat cushions and a holiday for two to Dubai. Additionally, Emirates’ cabin crew will be onsite capturing photos and gifting fans Polaroid keepsakes.

Guests from the Rolex SailGP Adrenaline Lounge can enjoy exclusive tours of the tech base in Portsmouth. The airline’s branding will be prominently displayed across various locations at the event.

Passengers flying with Emirates can follow the race onboard via Sport 24 on their inflight entertainment system. Behind-the-scenes content from SailGP will also be available.

Earlier this month, members of the Emirates GBR team visited London’s South Kensington store for an immersive experience into Emirates' travel offerings.

Emirates has supported sailing since 2004 as a sponsor of Team New Zealand in America’s Cup. The global racing calendar includes races in Germany, France, Switzerland, Spain, and UAE featuring their branded F50 boat.

The airline was previously a naming sponsor for Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth from 2015-2020 and had partnerships with America's Cup World Series events in Portsmouth.

In addition to sailing sponsorships, Emirates partners with Arsenal FC, Lancashire Cricket Club among others in sports across the UK.

Emirates operates 133 weekly flights from various UK airports including London Heathrow and Gatwick.
