Virgin Red has introduced an elevated bonus offer for new applicants of its Virgin Red Rewards Mastercard. Those who spend $4,000 within the first 90 days can earn 60,000 Virgin points. This is a significant increase of 50% from the previous bonus.

The Points Guy's July 2025 valuations estimate that these points are worth $780. The card comes with an annual fee of $99 and offers additional perks for cardholders.

"Based on TPG's July 2025 valuations, 60,000 Virgin points are worth an impressive $780," states the press release. "At only a $99 annual fee, the Virgin Red card offers a solid welcome bonus and additional cardholder perks."

Virgin Red allows members to redeem their points for flights to Europe via Virgin Atlantic's Saver fares. By linking accounts with Virgin Atlantic Flying Club, users can book award flights to London starting at just 6,000 points plus fees.

The press release also highlights that "those 60,000 points from the Virgin Red Rewards Mastercard could net you up to 10 one-way flights to London." Alternatively, members have options to use their points for dining experiences or hotel stays.

Aside from travel benefits, cardholders earn up to three Virgin points per dollar spent. There is also a "Personal Perks" system rewarding regular spenders with options like companion flights or free hotel stays after reaching certain spending thresholds.

Additionally, flyers accumulate Tier Points toward elite status in the Virgin Atlantic Flying Club through credit card spending.

The release concludes by emphasizing the value of experience-driven redemptions offered by the loyalty program: "This loyalty program stands out for offering genuinely fun, experience-driven redemptions."
