Los Angeles, USA, 21 July 2025 – Dnata has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with International Airlines Group (IAG), becoming the first ground handler chosen under IAG's Preferred Partner Programme.

The MoU sets the stage for a long-term collaboration between the companies. IAG aims to deepen relationships with strategic partners to enhance innovation, consistency, and value.

Gurm Nijjer, Group Procurement Director - Airports at IAG, described the Preferred Partner Programme as a strategic initiative aimed at generating long-term value by aligning with high-performing suppliers. "This approach reflects our commitment to operational excellence, cost-effective delivery and the use of technology to continuously elevate the passenger experience." The partnership includes long-term contract extensions and new business such as ground handling services at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) for Group IAG airlines.

Services under these contracts will start in Q4 2025, aiming to optimize ground handling operations and enhance service consistency across North American airports.

Dnata is a global air and travel services provider established in 1959. It offers ground handling, cargo, travel, catering, and retail services in over 30 countries on six continents. In the financial year 2024-25, dnata handled over 794,000 aircraft turns and moved 3.1 million tonnes of cargo among other achievements.

International Airlines Group is one of the world's largest airline groups with more than 600 aircraft serving over 122 million customers annually across 91 countries.
