Marriott's Lake Como Edition | The Points Guy

Marriott's latest property, the Lake Como Edition, is now open for reservations. Previously known as the Britannia Excelsior Hotel, this luxury hotel has undergone a complete renovation and rebranding. Originally expected to open in spring 2025, it will now welcome guests starting September 9.

The hotel is located on the western shore of Italy's Lake Como in Cadenabbia, about two hours from Milan by train or one hour by car. Known for its celebrity visitors, Lake Como offers activities such as swimming and boat tours along with dining and shopping opportunities.

The Lake Como Edition combines Italian heritage with contemporary design across its 145 rooms. These include suites and premium rooms offering lake and mountain views. Amenities feature a lobby bar, an Italian restaurant, poolside dining options, a floating pool, lakefront access, and free breakfast. Guests can also enjoy private yacht tours and wellness rituals.

Rates decrease towards late October to 699 euros or 95,500 points per night before the hotel closes for winter in early November.

Guests holding Marriott elite status may benefit from certain perks; however, all guests receive complimentary breakfast at this property.

"After a short delay," said Marriott representatives about the opening of their newest addition at this location.
