This fall, Frontier Airlines will expand its operations by adding service to two new cities and returning to a third. Starting in October, the budget airline will begin nonstop flights from Richmond International Airport in Virginia and Corpus Christi International Airport in Texas. Additionally, Frontier will resume service to Tulsa, Oklahoma, after a three-year hiatus.

The expansion is part of a broader 15-route growth strategy announced by the Denver-based carrier. The new routes include increased flights from Texas, New York, Chicago, Missouri, and Denver International Airport.

"With new destinations in Texas and Virginia, our return to Tulsa, Oklahoma, and new routes between several of our top cities, now is a better time than ever for consumers to give Frontier a try," said Josh Flyr, vice president of network and operations design at Frontier.

Frontier's new routes are set to launch in mid-October with varying frequencies. For example:

- Atlanta to Omaha starts on October 10 with twice-weekly flights.

- Dallas Fort Worth to El Paso begins on October 8 with thrice-weekly flights.

- Newark Liberty to Chicago Midway launches on October 7 with four weekly flights.

Denver emerged as the biggest beneficiary of this expansion with four new routes. The announcement follows Frontier's recent growth plans at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

Despite not announcing any route cuts during this expansion phase, the airline anticipates flying fewer departures in August and September compared to last year due to industry concerns about travel demand.
