Singapore Airlines has announced the expansion of its "Book the Cook" meal pre-ordering service for eligible premium-class passengers, as said on its website.

According to Singapore Airlines, the "Book the Cook" program allows Business, First, Suites, and Premium Economy passengers to pre-order a main course from a curated gourmet menu up to 24 hours before departure. This service is available on flights from key international airports such as Los Angeles (LAX), Seattle (SEA), Newark (EWR), and JFK. The program applies to flights longer than 1.5 hours and offers travelers the opportunity to secure preferred meals in advance, reducing the risk of unavailability during the flight. Eligible travelers can choose from diverse regional and international dishes, ensuring a customized in-flight dining experience tailored to individual preferences.

Flying Food Group (FFG), a leading airline catering company, prepares and delivers Singapore Airlines’ "Book the Cook" pre-ordered gourmet meals at major U.S. airports including LAX, SEA, EWR, and JFK. FFG supports the airline’s high culinary standards by providing a wide selection of international and regionally-inspired dishes designed by Singapore Airlines’ International Culinary Panel. These include premium options like lobster thermidor and wellness-focused meals. This collaboration ensures that passengers departing from these U.S. gateways enjoy consistent, high-quality dining that matches the standards of the Singapore-based program.

The "Book the Cook" service menu varies by cabin class and departure city, offering expanded gourmet selections such as lobster thermidor, Asian dishes, and wellness-inspired options crafted by renowned chefs. Passengers can modify their meal selections until 24 hours before departure. The most diverse menu offerings are available on flights from Singapore; however, U.S. departures like LAX, SEA, EWR, and JFK offer tailored regionally focused choices. The service is designed to enhance convenience and guarantee availability, setting a benchmark for premium in-flight dining.

Singapore Airlines is recognized as one of the world’s most respected travel brands due to its commitment to service excellence since its founding in 1972. The airline operates a modern fleet with an extensive global network and has earned accolades for its high standards in cabin comfort, in-flight dining, and customer care. Its corporate philosophy centers on providing a premium experience for every traveler—an ethos reflected in initiatives like the "Book the Cook" program.
