Qatar Airways has announced a collaboration with renowned composer Hans Zimmer to create a new sonic identity for the airline. This partnership aims to provide passengers with an emotionally resonant experience through music, as part of Qatar Airways' strategy to enhance its brand identity.

Hans Zimmer, known for his award-winning scores in films such as Top Gun: Maverick, Inception, and Interstellar, will compose the signature sound that will be played onboard during passenger departures. The music will also be available on major streaming platforms and the airline's official channels.

Engr. Badr Mohammed Al Meer, Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration: “At Qatar Airways, we aim to inspire the world with every new horizon and music plays a powerful role in shaping the emotional journey of our passengers.”

The use of music in marketing is not new; it can evoke emotions and create lasting associations. Qatar Airways' initiative comes at a time when Jet2's jingle has gained viral popularity on social media. Although there is no direct data linking this to increased sales for Jet2, the viral audio has boosted brand recognition.

Qatar Airways targets premium passengers and uses marketing strategies focused on brand associations and sponsorships. The airline partners with high-profile sports organizations like FIFA and UEFA. As the Official Airline Partner for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, Qatar Airways continues to explore ways to strengthen its connection with passengers.
