Dubai International Airport (DXB) recorded its highest-ever passenger traffic for the first half of a year, with 46 million travelers passing through from January to June 2025. This marks a 2.3% increase compared to the same period in 2024, despite regional airspace disruptions and ongoing geopolitical challenges in the Middle East.
Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports, said: "DXB’s continued growth through a period of regional challenges highlights the strength of Dubai and the UAE, the agility of our operations, and the commitment of our airport community. The oneDXB mindset once again enabled us to manage disruption while elevating the guest experience and ensuring seamless global connectivity."
According to data from Cirium, airlines scheduled over 219,000 flights at DXB during this period, providing more than 60 million seats. The load factor reached 75.81%. The second quarter saw particularly strong growth, with April being the busiest month on record for that month at DXB.
