The 2025 CAPSE Civil Aviation Annual Summit took place in Xiamen on June 4 and 5, returning to the city for the first time since its inaugural event in 2014. At that initial summit, Xiamen Airlines received a CAPSE Aviation Service Award, beginning a streak that continued this year as the airline secured the same honor for an eleventh consecutive year. In addition to this achievement, Xiamen Airlines was also recognized with the special award for the 2024 Most Valuable Chinese Airline Brand.

According to organizers, “Since its establishment in 2014, the CAPSE Aviation Service Awards have become one of the most authoritative honors in the civil aviation sector.” The latest evaluation process used CAPSE’s passenger-review big-data platform and included data from 246 airlines and over 304,000 flights. The process gathered nearly 1.5 million passenger questionnaires during 2024. “Xiamen Airlines’ ability to stand out in this rigorous process for eleven straight years fully demonstrates its exceptional performance in passenger satisfaction and continuous service innovation,” organizers said.

In addition to domestic recognition, Xiamen Airlines received international awards during 2024. These included winning the APEX World Class Award for a third year and receiving APEX’s global award for Best Cabin Service.

Over the past year, Xiamen Airlines made changes aimed at improving service quality. The company introduced self-service re-booking options across all domestic channels and implemented a check-in cancellation function intended to increase processing efficiency for common ticket-change situations. For passengers with special needs—including those requiring wheelchairs or expectant mothers—the airline upgraded its services by adding Care Zones and optimizing support from ticket purchase through arrival. International passengers transiting via Xiamen received expanded guidance services as well as optional products such as transit-tour bookings and prepaid baggage.

Xiamen Airlines also developed its signature service brands: TIANJI GALLERY, EGRETS WITH YOU, and CHEF XIAMENAIR. Notably, CHEF XIAMENAIR became an official partner of the Michelin Guide by collaborating with Michelin-starred restaurants to enhance onboard dining while promoting Fujian cuisine internationally. The EGRETS WITH YOU program introduced visual unaccompanied-minor services designed to address parental concerns about children traveling alone.

Additionally, in 2024 Xiamen Airlines launched China’s first sustainability-themed airline service IP called “My Family,” which encourages passenger participation in sustainable development efforts.

“During 2024, Xiamen Airlines not only dominated domestic award ceremonies but also shone on the international stage, winning the APEX World Class Award for the third consecutive year and capturing the APEX global award for Best Cabin Service. The steady stream of honors from both domestic and international bodies is underpinned by Xiamen Airlines’ unwavering commitment to high-quality service.”

“In addition, Xiamen Airlines elevated its three signature service brands - ‘TIANJI GALLERY,’ ‘EGRETS WITH YOU’ and ‘CHEF XIAMENAIR.’ Among them, ‘CHEF XIAMENAIR’ has officially become a partner of the Michelin Guide; through cooperation with multiple Michelin-starred restaurants, it delivers a higher-quality in-flight dining experience while carrying Fujian’s local culinary culture to the world via airline meals.”

“In 2024, Xiamen Airlines also launched China’s first airline sustainability-themed service IP, ‘My Family,’ using lively and engaging methods to invite passengers to take part in sustainable-development initiatives.”
