Emirates has announced plans to increase its London service to 12 daily flights in 2026, adding a fourth daily round trip between Dubai International Airport and London Gatwick Airport. The new rotation is set to begin on February 8, 2026, using the airline's Airbus A350-900 aircraft.

The outbound flight, EK069, will depart Dubai at 17:05 and arrive at Gatwick at 20:50 local time. After a three-hour turnaround, EK070 will leave Gatwick at 23:55 and land in Dubai at 11:00 the next day. Emirates states that this schedule is designed for both business and leisure travelers, providing convenient arrival times for hotel check-in or city activities.

According to Emirates, "Gatwick is set to become the second UK destination to receive Emirates’ new A350 aircraft after Edinburgh," with the carrier adding: "For those traveling to Dubai, the service provides the ideal arrival time for customers to check in to their hotels and get a head start on their Dubai activities. Customers departing Dubai on the flight can make the most of their time in the city - finishing business meetings, enjoying extended shopping, or completing last-minute activities - before taking the evening flight to London."

The Airbus A350-900 features Emirates' latest cabin design. Currently configured with three classes—32 business class seats in a four-abreast layout, 21 premium economy seats, and 259 economy seats—the aircraft serving Gatwick will be adjusted. The new configuration will increase premium economy capacity to 28 by adding an extra row while reducing economy seating to 238, resulting in an overall capacity of 298 passengers.

Emirates currently operates three daily flights between Dubai and Gatwick using Airbus A380s with various seating configurations. In addition to Gatwick, Emirates serves London Stansted Airport with two daily Boeing 777-300ER flights and maintains six return flights per day between Dubai and Heathrow Airport using its Airbus A380s.

Emirates was founded in 1985 and is based at Dubai International Airport. The airline’s CEO is Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum.
