Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders are being offered a 5,000-point flight credit from Air Canada Aeroplan. The promotion is available to primary cardmembers who register by August 18, 2025. To receive the reward, eligible cardholders must provide their name, Aeroplan loyalty number, and the last four digits of their Chase Sapphire Reserve card.

The 5,000-point certificate can be used for new bookings within 365 days after it is deposited into the account. It cannot be applied to existing reservations or split between multiple passengers. While the certificate cannot be transferred to another Aeroplan account, it may be used for booking a flight for another traveler using points from the primary account.

There are no restrictions limiting use of the certificate to Air Canada flights; it can also apply to partner airline awards. If an award costs more than 5,000 points, additional points from the member’s Aeroplan account can cover the difference. In cases where an award ticket is changed or canceled according to booking rules, the certificate will be reinstated with its original expiration date.

Chase Ultimate Rewards points can be transferred to Aeroplan at a one-to-one ratio and redeemed for award flights. For example, short-haul economy flights under 500 miles on United Airlines or Air Canada can require as few as 6,000 points; with this promotion's certificate, only 1,000 additional points would be needed.

Those who do not have the Chase Sapphire Reserve still have time to apply and take advantage of both this offer and a current welcome bonus that includes 100,000 bonus points plus a $500 Chase Travel℠ promo credit after spending $5,000 in three months from opening an account.

According to August 2025 valuations by The Points Guy staff, five thousand Aeroplan points are worth about $70 and could also allow members to add a stopover on an award ticket.

"Five thousand Aeroplan points are worth $70 by our August 2025 valuations, and are also enough for you to add a stopover to an Aeroplan award ticket, so having this certificate in your back pocket can save you money and help you maximize a future trip."
