IHG Hotels & Resorts operates more than 6,000 properties worldwide, offering travelers a range of options for domestic vacations. The company’s IHG One Rewards program allows guests to earn points that can be redeemed for free nights and includes benefits such as discounted award nights at new hotels and a fourth night free on award stays for select cardholders.

Among the highlighted U.S. destinations is the Kimpton Surfcomber in Miami Beach, Florida. This boutique hotel has recently been renovated and is located near South Beach. Guests can participate in activities like yoga classes, backyard games, arts and crafts, or enjoy spa treatments by the pool. Room rates start at about $180 or 27,000 IHG One Rewards points per night. According to TPG’s August 2025 valuations, IHG points are valued at 0.5 cents each.

In Austin, Texas, Hotel Indigo Austin Downtown – University provides easy access to the Red River Cultural District’s restaurants and nightlife. The hotel features Urban Pour Social with food, drinks, music and local art. Visitors can also kayak on the Colorado River or bike around Lady Bird Lake before returning to rooms starting from $140 or 20,000 points per night.

Los Angeles visitors may consider Hotel Indigo Los Angeles Downtown. The property references several periods of LA history in its design and offers amenities including a rooftop bar and an outdoor pool. A daily facility fee covers two tickets for a Hollywood sign tour. Rates begin at approximately $195 or 28,000 points per night.

For those seeking mountain experiences, Kimpton Armory Hotel in Bozeman, Montana opened in August 2024 near Main Street’s shops and galleries as well as outdoor activities like hiking and fishing in the Rocky Mountains. Nightly rates start at about $412 or 75,000 IHG points.

Staybridge Suites Denver Downtown caters to extended-stay guests with suites featuring full kitchens within walking distance of city attractions such as Civic Center Park and the U.S. Mint. Rooms sleep up to four people with rates from $115 or 23,000 points per night; pets are welcome.

In New York City’s Midtown area near Penn Station is Voco Times Square South New York where guests have access to Broadway shows and local dining options such as Finches Den. Stays start at $170 per night or from 24,000 reward points.

Near Zion National Park in Utah is Holiday Inn La Verkin - Zion Park which offers an outdoor pool after days spent exploring natural scenery; kids eat free at Toast to Toast restaurant onsite. Standard rooms cost around $100 per night or require 16,000 reward points.

Domestic travel continues to appeal to many Americans looking for ways to save money while vacationing closer to home using programs like IHG One Rewards for added value on hotel stays.
