FedEx Corp. has named Vishal Talwar as executive vice president, chief digital and information officer, and president of FedEx Dataworks, effective August 15. Talwar was previously senior managing director and chief growth officer at Accenture Technology.

Talwar brings over 27 years of experience in technology-driven business growth, operational efficiency, and customer experience improvements. His background includes roles at Accenture, IBM, and Dell Services. He has also worked closely with FedEx on its digital transformation efforts during his time at Accenture.

In his new role as CDIO and president of FedEx Dataworks, Talwar will lead strategic initiatives aimed at developing digital solutions powered by data analytics, artificial intelligence, advanced technology infrastructure, enterprise architecture, and cybersecurity.

Talwar stated: “I am honored to join FedEx during such a transformative period as the company leverages the power of technology, data, and AI to make supply chains smarter for everyone. I’ve had the privilege of working closely with FedEx in an advisory capacity, and that experience has given me a deep understanding of the business, the team, and the strategic direction. Senior leaders from both Data and Technology as well as Dataworks organizations will now report directly to Talwar.
