Delta Air Lines has announced the launch of three new nonstop routes from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) to Denver, Columbus, and Kansas City. The airline is also increasing service on its existing routes to San Francisco and Indianapolis.

“With these new routes and expanded service, Delta is building on a strong foundation in Austin and creating more ways for our customers to get where they want to go,” said Paul Baldoni, Senior Vice President of Network Planning. “It’s another step in delivering the network, convenience and premium experience that sets Delta apart as Austin’s leading global carrier.”

Austin-Bergstrom International Airport CEO Ghizlane Badawi commented on the expansion: "This is another exciting investment in our community from Delta. We are so grateful for their partnership and shared mission of connecting Austin and Central Texas travelers to more nonstop destinations. We look forward to the continued collaboration with the airline, especially as we make progress on expanding and improving our airport.”

The new route to Denver will begin November 9, 2025, with twice-daily flights operated by SkyWest using Embraer 175 aircraft. Service to Columbus starts June 7, 2026, with one daily flight also operated by SkyWest. Kansas City flights will start June 7, 2026 as well, operating twice daily through SkyWest.

Expanded service includes an increase in San Francisco flights from one to two daily frequencies starting April 13, 2026. Service between Austin and Indianapolis will expand from one to three daily flights beginning June 7, 2026.

Delta reports that it has already carried over one million passengers through Austin this year—a year-over-year increase of 12%. The airline plans further additions later this year with new domestic service to Palm Springs launching in November and international service to Cancun and Cabo San Lucas beginning in December.

Austin customers have access to a Delta Sky Club at AUS which features Texas-inspired design elements and a beverage menu focused on tequila and mezcal. The club has ranked highest in customer satisfaction for the Southern region for three consecutive years.

In October, Delta will open a permanent flight attendant base in Austin as part of its long-term commitment to Central Texas.

“This is fantastic news for the Lone Star State! Delta’s decision to open a flight attendant base and continue its expansion in Austin will open more travel choices for Texans, bring hundreds of good-paying jobs, boost local businesses, and further cement Texas as a national leader in economic growth and innovation,” said Texas Senator Ted Cruz. “I am excited to see the opportunities this brings to our great state.”
