EVA Air has announced plans to commence daily flights from Taipei to Busan, South Korea, starting in late October 2025. The announcement was made on the social media platform X.

According to EVA Air’s official post, the new Taipei–Busan route will begin operating with one flight each day. The airline described the new service as a way for passengers to travel with "comfort and ease," highlighting Busan as a vibrant destination for tourism and business. Busan is South Korea’s second-largest city, attracting millions annually with its international film festival, coastal attractions, and thriving seaport economy.

EVA Air confirmed in its campaign announcement that the new Taipei–Busan route will operate seven times weekly, providing consistent daily service. The addition enhances EVA Air’s Korean network, which already includes flights to Seoul, giving travelers more flexibility when visiting South Korea. This move reflects the carrier’s strategy to expand regional connectivity within East Asia, where short-haul demand is rebounding.

According to Routes Online, Busan’s Gimhae International Airport handled more than 17 million passengers in 2023, making it the second-busiest airport in South Korea after Seoul’s Incheon Airport. Adding EVA Air’s daily service will boost international traffic flows and strengthen Busan’s role as a gateway for cross-border travel. Industry data shows that East Asia’s short-haul market is seeing strong recovery, with carriers increasing seat capacity across regional hubs.

According to its official corporate profile, EVA Air was founded in 1989 as Taiwan’s first privately owned international airline and is headquartered in Taoyuan. The airline operates flights to more than 60 destinations worldwide, spanning Asia, Europe, North America, and Oceania and is a member of the Star Alliance network. EVA Air has consistently been recognized by Skytrax as one of the world’s top 10 airlines noted for service quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
