Flying Food Group has announced on LinkedIn that it has earned ISO 14001 environmental management certification. This achievement marks a significant milestone for the company, which is known for its airline catering services.

According to Flying Food Group, the ISO 14001 certification is an internationally recognized standard for Environmental Management Systems (EMS). The framework provides a structured approach to managing environmental impacts, enabling the company to set clear environmental policies, monitor progress, and implement continuous improvements. The certification reflects not just compliance but also a long-term commitment to reducing environmental footprint and enhancing resource efficiency.

The company began its engagement with EcoVadis in 2023, participating in the global online sustainability rating platform to assess its performance across environment, social, and governance dimensions. According to Flying Food Group’s 2024 Sustainability Guide, each of its seventeen facilities pursues site-specific objectives to lower waste, reduce energy use, and expand recycling initiatives. This structured approach helped the company earn a Bronze EcoVadis Medal in 2024, signaling measurable improvements in sustainable procurement, ethics, labor, and environmental practices.
