United Airlines is the largest North American operator of the Boeing 777-300ER, with a fleet of 22 aircraft. The airline first received this model in December 2016 and continues to use it for long-haul international and domestic flights. According to ch-aviation data, United's oldest 777-300ER is nearly nine years old, while its newest is just over five years old.

The aircraft features three main cabins: business class, premium economy, and economy class. Economy class has 266 seats arranged in a 3-4-3 configuration, each with a pitch of 31 inches and a width of 17.1 inches. Rows 56 and 57 offer a more private arrangement with a 2-4-2 layout due to the fuselage curvature, making them preferable for pairs seeking privacy.

For passengers wanting more space, United offers Economy Plus with 62 extra legroom seats at a pitch of 34 inches. The first row (row 30) provides additional room behind the bulkhead.

Premium economy consists of 24 Collins MiQ seats in a 2-4-2 configuration. These seats are wider at 18.7 inches and offer up to six inches of recline along with adjustable legrests and footrests. Row 20, located behind business class, benefits from extra legroom due to the bulkhead and lacks nearby galleys or bathrooms.

Business class on United’s Boeing 777-300ER uses Safran Optima seats in a 1-2-1 configuration, ensuring direct aisle access for all passengers. Each seat is 20 inches wide and converts into a fully flat bed measuring six feet six inches in length. Row 1 offers greater privacy as it is further from galleys and restrooms and features wider footrests than other rows.

United deploys its Boeing 777-300ERs on several major routes from San Francisco International Airport (SFO), including destinations such as Taipei Taoyuan International Airport (TPE), Hong Kong International Airport (HKG), Honolulu Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL), Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL), Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) to Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Frankfurt Airport (FRA), as well as Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) to Brussels Airport (BRU).
