Hainan Airlines has announced the official launch of its Singapore–Haikou–Changchun route. The inaugural flight departed from Singapore Changi Airport at 4:40 a.m. local time, as said on the airline's social media platform.
According to industry reporting, the new service will operate four times a week under flight numbers HU447 and HU448. This schedule aims to provide regular connectivity for both business and leisure travelers along this multi-leg route, balancing frequency with operational efficiency. The move reflects Hainan Airlines' strategy to bridge Southeast Asia and Northeast China using Haikou as a transit node.
Hainan Airlines has been actively expanding its routes into Singapore. As of January 2025, it operates Lanzhou–Haikou–Singapore and Yichang–Haikou–Singapore services, signaling a commitment to connecting Chinese interior cities to Southeast Asia. This demonstrates that the Singapore–Haikou–Changchun route builds on an established network base into Singapore. Such expansions are part of Hainan’s increasing push to diversify its international presence.
